Buenos Aires, November 19 (NA) -- María Noguera and José Peña, the parents of Loan Danilo Peña, the boy who disappeared a year and a half ago, appeared at the Comodoro Py Courts to demand that the investigation not be stopped and that it not be transferred to provincial justice. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA) and based on Noguera's television statements, the boy's mother said: 'I feel that Loan is alive.' These words resonated as she left the hearing at the Chamber of Criminal Cassation, which now has five days to formulate a response. During the meeting, where the boy's parents were accompanied by their lawyers, the validity of the file was discussed, as it could end due to the 'expiration of evidence,' and the case has already been elevated to trial. The lawyer representing María and José, María Belén Ruso, stated that the event is a 'continuous crime and Loan has still not appeared,' therefore, she believes the investigation must continue. Regarding the approach of transferring the case to the Buenos Aires justice system, the prosecution refuted: 'Time and evidence were lost in the province. The investigation only started working when federal justice intervened.' Likewise, new searches are being carried out in Corrientes to find the boy alive, and operations and raids are being conducted in the city of 9 de Julio, which the family and lawyer view with 'optimism' as the Federal Court of Goya authorized procedures in four lagoons that had not been previously searched.
